Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop provides space, facilities and expertise to support the production of sculpture and offers a range of artist-led education opportunities which are open to all.
A public programme of mainly free events runs throughout the year enabling visitors to meet the artists who work here.
The Metal Centre provided manufactured steel to Maxi Construction for the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop’s new Creative Laboratories, providing additional studio and exhibition space.
The cost of building the Creative Laboratories, which officially opened in December 2014, was 100% funded by the Arts Funding Prize for Edinburgh awarded by Foundation Scotland. Pictured is the new Sculpture Workshop Tower, nearing completion. It is hoped that in the near future, a public viewing gallery will be opened at the top of the tower providing excellent views across Edinburgh’s townscape.
