As one of Scotland’s most versatile engineering firms, both Blake Group and The Metal Centre teams are regularly approached to take on diverse metalwork projects in Edinburgh and beyond. We are proud to be part of the extended Underbelly family of suppliers as this unique and enthusiastic team of event organisers continue to grow from strength to strength in the UK and beyond.

Underbelly is the leading UK based live events company, its festivals and events division produces a number of events annually including the Edinburgh International Festival, Edinburgh Hogmanay celebrations, London Southbank festival and Pride in London festival to name a few.
Blake Group provides a wide range of steelworks for bridges, fencing, walkways plus steel supplies and installation support to assist in the construction of temporary event spaces.
Along with steelworks onsite, The Metal Centre also reconditions used shipping containers to build ticket offices, cafes and bars for Underbelly’s popular venues.
Commenting on Blake Group’s support for their latest project with the University of Edinburgh, Underbelly’s Production Director David Watson stated, “Thank you so much for all your help and support with the Bristo Project, I really appreciate it. The University is very happy with the building, we couldn’t have done it without Blake Group, the team were great as always.”
