Blake Group at The Botanics
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is a world-leading centre of excellence in plant science, conservation horticulture and education.
Blake Group was asked to manufacture, galvanise and install a new walkway that would be suitable for everyone including wheelchair users. Our Fabrication division worked closely with the client to ensure the walkway met all requirements and did not harm any mature trees or plants during the installation.
Blake Group undertook this project to facilitate a fully accessible access route into the Botanic Garden Edinburgh. The location was challenging having changing levels and mature specimen trees in the area. The detailed planning, surveying and communication undertaken throughout the initial phase of the project was excellent, assisting RBGE in working through site specific issues and problem solving. The construction phase of the bridging ramp went without a hitch, the on-site fabrication team working efficiently to meet our tight deadlines. The end product is finished to a high standard of workmanship and quality and I would have no hesitation in recommending Blake Group to any potential client. We look forward to working with you on future projects.
