Highlander Crisps Factory Fit Out
As with many food processing clients, Highlander Crisps approached The Metal Centre with a requirement to improve the process of making their famous crisps. The team was asked to manufacture bespoke equipment to assist with the delivery and processing of raw produce into consumable products.

Following the demise of the Golden Wonder plant in West Lothian, Highlander Crisps (owned by Italian food giant San Carlo), was one of Scotland’s most popular crisp brands. The Metal Centre team provided bespoke engineered equipment that included a giant blue potato hopper that received the raw potatoes direct from the delivery trucks passing them onto the washing and cooking processing machinery.
Additionally, conveyor belts and stainless steel chutes and fixtures and fittings were also installed along with safety cages.
